United Poised To Pounce For Baines?

There is a newspaper report out today that claims Manchester United are going to try an £8million plus player move for Everton's Leighton Baines in January.

The Express reports that Fergie feels that £8million plus Patrice Evra should be enough to get the signature of Baines, a defender that stands out from the rest.

It's known that Baines is looking to play Champions League football, something that is not very likely to come to Everton, but with United he could be signed up in time to make the knock out stages of the competition in February.
