Manchester United are facing stiff competition from AC Milan in the race to sign reported target Luis Fabiano.
The Brazil striker has already been the subject of a bid from the Italian giants, according to his agent.
Fabiano's Spanish club Sevilla want a fee of around £25million before they will part company with their prize asset.
"Milan have made an official offer to Sevilla for Luis Fabiano," claimed agent Jose Fuentes.
"I don't know how much the bid amounts to, but there is this important and official offer on the table.
"Now it is up to the Rossoneri and Sevilla to reach an agreement, then my client and I will speak to Milan.
"The buy-out clause on his contract is 30million euros, but Luis Fabiano has concluded a four-year cycle with Sevilla and now Milan represents a big opportunity for him."
However, should United launch an approach then may find that the South American favours a move to Italy.
Fuentes added: "The player has already said he wants to play for Milan next season.
"I think it will take two to three weeks (to complete the deal), but no more than that."
