United Close To Adding Another Player

Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Vitesse Arnhem defender Alexander Buttner. The left-back says he is close to joining United after flying to Manchester today to have a medical and then sign a five year contract.

“This is truly a dream come true,” said Buttner.

“It all went very quickly and I am of course very happy.” 

The 23 year old has been regularly linked with a move to England this summer, but his destination was thought to have been Southampton, but the deal fell through.
