United calm Rio fears

Manchester United have rubbished reports suggesting Rio Ferdinand will not be fit enough to feature in Saturday's vital Premier League encounter at table-topping Arsenal.
It had been suggested that the former West Ham and Leeds United defender would miss the meeting between the top two at the Emirates Stadium with a groin injury.
Reports had hinted that, after being substituted in Saturday's 4-1 win over Middlesbrough, Ferdinand had to be sent for a scan on a problem that initially began to trouble the 28-year-old at the end of last season.
However, in a statement on the club's official website, United said: "Manchester United have confirmed that Rio Ferdinand is fit to face Arsenal on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
"Reports in Tuesday's press claimed the Reds defender has experienced a recurrence of an old groin injury and would miss the key Premier League clash.
"However, the influential 28-year-old centre-back trained with the rest of the squad at Carrington on Tuesday, and is considered fully fit and ready to play against the Gunners."
