Darren Ferguson has angrily denied reports that he was summoned to a showdown with Peterborough bosses on Sunday to discuss the club's poor league start - and his uncertain future at London Road. But incensed over the story, Ferguson hit back, insisting it was completely untrue. 'It's absolute rubbish. I left for Cardiff at 5am yesterday morning anddrove back straight after the course,' he told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. 'There were no meetings with thechairman.' Posh director of football Barry Fry also confirmed that there were no meetings between the manager and club bosses, although Ferguson will be desperate to pick his side up for this weekend's tough visit to promotion favourites Newcastle.
