According to highly speculative reports in today's press Manchester United could be forced to sell prized asset Wayne Rooney in a bid to ease their financial woes.
It seems inconceivable that Sir Alex Ferguson's side would part with their talismanic frontman, but following constant revelations regarding the Glazer's mounting debts, perhaps it isn't as far-fetched as it first appears.
Of far less debate is Roman Pavlyuchenko's long-awaited departure from White Hart Lane, with the Russian's next destination seemingly the one remaining uncertainty.
