Tottenham join race to sign Manchester Uniteds 25m star Carlos Tevez

Tottenham are the latest club to target wantaway Manchester United star Carlos Tevez, according to reports. The Sun claims that Harry Redknapp has joined Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid in the race to sign the Argentina striker. Tevez is resigned to leaving United in the summer at the end of his two-year deal at Old Trafford. Despite becoming a fans' favourite, the South American is yet to be offered a long-term deal with the world champions. And now Spurs are ready to pounce with a £25m offer to buy Tevez from his owners. 'There are lots of different clubs all over Europe who want Tevez and each one is being considered carefully,' a Tevez insider told The Sun. 'Spurs would really like him but there are questions about whether they can raise the money quickly enough. 'Tevez would like his future sorted out soon and Spurs will have to do a lot of work if they want to get him.'
