Robin van Persie enjoyed his best ever season last year where he netted 37 goals in all competitions and really was Arsenal’s “go to man”.

Scoring all types of goals it’s no surprise that Sir Alex forked out £24 million for the 29-year-old. It didn’t take the Dutchmen long to find his feet at Old Trafford and scored a crucial goal against Fulham along with an incredible hat-trick against Southampton.

His tally in league games this season is five goals in six appearances and you would expect him to be amongst the leagues top scorers come May.

The results this weekend mean that United are sat four points behind the league-leaders Chelsea and if Van Persie can continue to find the back of the net he will have a huge say on where the trophy will end up this season.
