Manchester United were again head-to-head with Arsenal as the season drew to its conclusion.

United went into the final game, at home to Tottenham, with one hand on the title.

Arsenal did their job by winning 1-0 at Aston Villa, but it was not enough.

Despite going 1-0 down, the Manchester club powered back after goals from David Beckham and Andy Cole and landed the trophy.

The Red Devils then went on to add an FA Cup and UEFA Champions League to their collection that season.
