Tevez rumours rubbished

Brazilian giants Corinthians have denied reports suggesting that they have agreed to sell Argentina striker Carlos Tevez to Manchester United.

The 22-year-old, who showed up well at the World Cup finals this summer, has also been linked with Chelsea, but Corinthians have denied that they are open to offers for Tevez.

A statement from the club read: "Corinthians and Media Sports Investments wish to state that the rumours about the sale of Carlos Tevez to Manchester United are not correct.

"MSI have never received an offer or had any contact from the English team about the forward."

Tevez joined Corinthians just over a year ago from Boca Juniors.
