Tata group deny United interest

The Tata Group insists it has no interest in entering into a sponsorship deal with Premier League and European champions Manchester United.United are seeking new sponsors after troubled American insurance company AIG said they would not renew their deal with the club.And in a statement, the Tatas, owners of the giant car manufacturer, said they had no intention of making a deal after speaking to club official."Tatas do not have any intention of sponsoring any football club at this point of time," the statement said."Manchester United's marketing team, which is on a visit to India, sought a meeting with the Tatas and we have granted a hearing as a courtesy."There is no formal proposal or plans whatsoever related to the same."
