Spurs in 2m bid for Watford keeper Loach after missing out on Begovic

Tottenham have reportedly made a £2million bid for Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach. Harry Redknapp has returned to promising England Under 21 keeper after tracking him for the first half of the season. The White Hart Lane thought he was in line to bring in Portsmouth's Asmir Begovic as cover for Heurelho Gomes, but the Bosnia international pulled out of the switch over the weekend and is now in talks with Stoke City. International class: Loach has impressed with England Under 21s Redknapp considered Pompey's David James, but is looking more for cover. Spartak Moscow's Stipe Pletikosa was an option but will not be fit to move until the summer, and it seems Spurs are not prepared to wait.
