Manchester United's French defender Mikael Silvestre is keen for a transfer after being left out of Sir Alex Ferguson's squad for the Community Shield against Chelsea.
Silvestre was also overlooked for May's FA Cup Final against the Blues when Ferguson opted to start with Patrice Evra in the left-back role.
Speaking of his FA Cup final omission, Silvestre told the News of the World: "Alex Ferguson knocked on my door at 11am on the morning of the game to tell me I wasn't playing.
"Can you imagine how that felt? He did his best to dress it up saying I hadn't played a lot in the run-up to the game, I was still coming back from injury and he wanted to keep me fresh.
"I didn't want to here it. I didn't expect to be dropped and it was a huge blow."
The 29-year-old has made almost 250 Premiership appearances since arriving at Old Trafford in a £4million deal from Internazionale nearly eight years ago.
