Spain midfielder Marcos Senna is optimistic his proposed move from Villarreal to Manchester United will happen before the summer transfer window closes.
Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for some time, but they are still some way apart in their valuations of the 30-year-old.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is now rumoured to be considering other options to strengthen his midfield, including Bayern Munich's Owen Hargreaves and Lyon's Mahamadou Diarra, but Senna remains confident he will soon be on his way to Old Trafford.
He told the News of the World: "I can't wait, it's a dream come true.
"It has been an objective in my career to always look to improve and look for something bigger - and Manchester is the biggest.
"I think the situation will resolve itself this week and I am confident I will be a United player."
