Senna deal dead

Villarreal have made it clear they are no longer prepared to sell Spain midfielder Marcos Senna to Manchester United.
The Red Devils appeared to be close to signing the 30-year-old last week, but halted talks about the proposed transfer when Sir Alex Ferguson decided he would prefer to bring in Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich.
United's attempts to land Hargreaves failed, but Villarreal president Fernando Roig has warned them not to bother wasting their time attempting to resurrect the Senna deal.
"They've turned his head without bringing the matter to any conclusion," said Roig.
"It isn't good for the relations between the clubs because people should behave in a more correct manner.
"We waited until yesterday for them to finalise the conditions of the move. The player can wait longer but we can't and the case is now closed.
"He will stay and we will have to see if he renews his contract or not."
