In with a shout: Real Madrid's Ruud Van Nistelrooy could be returning to the Barclays Premier League Ruud van Nistelrooy's move to Tottenham Hotspur could be back on after the Dutchman hinted he would consider a return to the Barclays Premier League. The former Manchester United striker is out of contract at Real Madrid at the end of the season and unlikely to be offered a new deal, reports The Sun. Tottenham came close to signing the Dutchman for just £1million last summer but boss Harry Redknapp would not meet van Nistelrooy's £100,000-a-week wages. Redknapp, who is looking to offload striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, also had concerns over the 33-year-old's knee injury and pulled out of negotiations. However van Nistelrooy insists he is fully fit now and a deal could be resurrected if the Dutch international took a pay-off.
