Rooney Should Return To Face Tottenham
Sir Alex Ferguson says that Wayne Rooney should be fit enough to play against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday. There was a good chance that he would have been fit enough to play against Liverpool at the weekend but he was suffering a little discomfort in his ankle so Ferguson decided not to take the risk. "I could have put him on the bench but there was no point," said Ferguson. "He just felt it again on Friday and when he came in on Saturday morning you could see there was a reaction. At that point, we said no." Nemanja Vidic will also be fit, although Edwin van der Sar might need another week to recover from a flu virus.
