Rooney junior on the way as United striker skips training

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney missed training on Monday morning, with reports suggesting his wife Colleen is set to give birth to their first child this week.

Rooney junior is overdue, and should Colleen have the baby this week his/her footballing father looks set to miss United's Champions League meeting with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.

Dimitar Berbatov and Ryan Giggs also skipped training at United's Carrington complex, as did defenders Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

United take on CSKA on Tuesday night at Old Trafford, looking to make it four wins from four in Group B.
