Wayne Rooney has developed into a killer hitman! That's how United full back Patrice Evra has hailed the England striker's new mindset. Rooney's opener against Portsmouth on Saturday was his 23rd of the season and saw him equal his best ever haul for a campaign. He is the only player in the 20s in the Premier League so far this season. "Wayne understands what the team needs and we're seeing what a great player he is," said Evra. "He is a world class player and is getting his just deserts because now he is more mature, he concentrates more on staying around the box. "He's not lost any desire to still press the ball and things like that, but now he knows he needs to score a lot of goals because Ronny (Cristiano Ronaldo) has gone and he needs to score more.
