Rooney hails Owen and Berbatov
WAYNE Rooney paid tribute to his fellow United strikers after the 5-0 hammering of Wigan at the weekend. Rooney took his United tally up to 101, and Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen also opened their accounts for the new Premier League season. "It is nice to score 100 goals for anyone especially a club like United. I'm pleased with that but the most important thing is the three points," said the 23-year-old hitman. "It is nice but it is something that I will look back on when I finish playing. I've still got a lot of games and a lot of goals left in me so it is not something I'm too concerned about at the moment. "Everyone was delighted that Dimitar Berbatov, and especially Michael, scored. It's a great feeling for all three of us to score. "To score five goals away form home is always difficult in the Premier League and we have done that. "It was a great finish by Michael and hopefully that it is him on the way now. You could see everyone on the bench and all the fans here were all delighted he had scored so hopefully he will continue to do that." Nani scored the fifth from a free-kick.
