Rooney dilemma for Goodison trip

Sir Alex Ferguson must decide whether to let Wayne Rooney run the gauntlet of hate when Manchester United face Everton at Goodison Park. Rooney is due to face his former club in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off in the Premier League after a difficult week following the allegations about his private life. Rio Ferdinand could make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a knee injury, while the fitness of Javier Hernandez and Antonio Valencia will need to be assessed after their late return from international duty.
