Rooney Could Miss Stoke City Clash

Manchester United may be without striker Wayne Rooney tonight when they line up against Stoke City at Old Trafford.

The 26 year old missed the game with Liverpool at the weekend because of an ankle injury, the club would it seems, rather wait until the player is 100 per cent rather than rush him back into action.

Also likely to be missing is Phil Jones who is also carrying an ankle knock and Nani who also missed the Liverpool clash.

Rio Ferdinand could be back after recovering from a back problem.
