Ronaldo reunion suits Ruud

Former Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy would love to team up with Cristiano Ronaldo again at Real Madrid - but admits it is unlikely.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move to Spain since last summer and Barcelona was thought to be his preferred destination.

However, recent reports suggested Real were also keen to sign the Portugal international, who insists he is happy to remain at Old Trafford.

Van Nistelrooy told Cadena SER: "He's a very good player despite being only 22-years-old. Physically and technically he's learnt a lot.

"For me it would be good if he came here. In training everything was good. There was chemistry.

"But it will be difficult to get Manchester United to let him escape."
