Winger Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly opened talks on extending his contract with Manchester United.
Ronaldo, 22, has been an integral part of United's impressive domestic and European campaigns this season and has scored 16 times in the Premiership.
The form of the Portugal international has led to transfer speculation that Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are preparing big-money summer moves to try and persuade United to sell one of their prize assets.
But Ronaldo has told Portuguese radio that he is happy at Old Trafford and has already held talks with the club over extending his contract.
The former Sporting Lisbon starlet's current deal expires in summer 2010.
"We have talked and I hope to reach agreement as soon as possible," he told Portuguese radio station Antena 1.
"Nothing has been decided yet and I would like to stay. I would like to play in Spain one day, but I am happy here at Manchester.
"You can never be certain of anything in life, but I am happy here and I want to stay here. In football there are no guarantees.
"If I don't leave now, if I leave in two, three, four, five years I would be happy, I am at a great club."
