    Ronaldo not looking to leave

    19 Apr 2009 - 07:15:36

Star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that his long-term future is with Manchester United after appearing to rule out a summer move away from Old Trafford.

The Portugal star was involved in a high-profile transfer tug-of-war between United and Real Madrid last summer after suggesting that he wanted to move to Spain.

The world and European player of the year was ultimately persuaded to remain at Old Trafford by Sir Alex Ferguson, but rumours have continued to surround Ronaldo's future in England.

However, the 24-year-old wideman has revealed he wants to win more trophies with the Red Devils next season which would appear to rule out any summer transfer.

"It is a great feeling and I love to play here," he said.

"I am very happy here. I want to win more trophies here. At the moment I think I am at the right club.

"And I want to win trophies next season as well."

Meanwhile ahead of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final showdown with Everton, Ronaldo has conceded an unprecedented quintuple of trophies this season will be extremely difficult for United to achieve.

They are looking to add the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup trophies their existing haul of Carling Cup and Club World Cup already this season.

"We have this opportunity, but it will be difficult to win the five trophies," added Ronaldo.

"It is not impossible. We have to play against Everton and that will be a tough game, but everyone knows if we win we are in the final again."
