    Ronaldo eyes United double

    01 May 2008 - 09:26:22

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned Chelsea that Manchester United intend to complete the Premier League and Champions League double this season.

The Portugal winger has helped United fight on both fronts this season after scoring an incredible 38 goals in all competitions.

The Red Devils will secure a second straight league championship if they win both of their remaining games, while Chelsea's semi-final victory over Liverpool on Wednesday night set-up a meeting of the Premier League's top two in a Champions League Final in Moscow later this month.

United secured their own passage with a 1-0 aggregate victory over Barcelona.

"We're in this competition to win it, as much as the league," warned Ronaldo.

"We took our opportunity and now we're in the final of the Champions League. Nothing could be better.

"We might have been able to play better but we won, we always win and now we have to do the same in the final and in the championship.

"Manchester always plays to win, the players want to win something this season and we have a great opportunity to win the Premier League and the Champions League.

"Now we need to relax a little bit and do some good work and try to win."
