Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has rubbished the latest round of rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old Portugal forward was the subject of a lengthy transfer saga involving the Spanish champions last summer, before opting to stay put at Old Trafford.
However, new rumours of a deal to be completed at the end of the current campaign recently surfaced, drawing a new statement of intent from the player himself.
He told United's official club website: "There's always speculation, not just about me, but about the future of players all around the world.
"People were speaking about me this summer, but that was normal because of what I did during the season.
"What people are saying now is not true.
"Who says that I am a liar because I am happy at the club, I want to stay here. I feel at home here and I feel very happy here."
After Real director Pedro Trapote had suggested that Ronaldo was already in the bag for next season, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had fumed: "Do you think I would enter into a contract with that mob?
"No chance, I would not sell them a virus. There is no agreement whatsoever between the clubs."
