Ron happy at United for now
16 May 2009 - 16:44:46
Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated Manchester United's latest Premier League title triumph by claiming he is happy to stay at Old Trafford, but only for the time being.
The Portugal winger celebrated United's 11th Premier League title and 18th top-flight crown in the club's history following Saturday's goalless draw with Arsenal.
But although pledging his immediate future to the Red Devils amid the celebratory scenes around Old Trafford, Ronaldo hinted that he could look to move on at some point in his career.
The reigning world and European player of the year was involved in a transfer tug-of-war between United and Real Madrid last summer and is expected to be linked with the Spanish side again at the end of this season.
"It's brilliant, the atmosphere here is unbelievable - the supporters screaming, singing," Ronaldo told Sky Sports.
"It's amazing but the future you never know. But as I said before, I'm really, really happy here."
Meanwhile, Ronaldo wants United to close out an already successful season with victory over Barcelona in the Champions League Final in Rome on May 27.
"We win the league and now we go to win the Champions League," he added.
"We have to enjoy this moment. This moment is very special.
"In the next two or three days we have to concentrate on the Champions League because everyone wants to win this competition."
