Ron delight at double deal
02 Jun 2007 - 12:38:16
Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has warned the rest of the Premier League that the champions will be much stronger next term following their capture of Portugal-based pair Nani and Anderson.
Ronaldo, who United signed from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, has backed the combined £25million duo to make an immediate impact in England.
Winger Nani was signed from Ronaldo's former club, while Brazilian midfielder Anderson has arrived at Old Trafford from Porto.
In a busy week for new arrivals, United also completed the protracted £17million capture of Bayern Munich and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves.
"I can only say that United will be stronger because they have signed two great players," Ronaldo told The Sun.
"Anderson and Nani are phenomenons and the side will be improved a lot by their participation.
"I'm really happy that I will have Nani and Anderson as team-mates.
"They will be very welcome at Manchester United."
