Rio: United experience is vital

Defender Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester United's big-game experience will help them secure silverware this season. Ferdinand returned from injury for Tuesday's 5-0 Premier League victory over West Bromwich Albion and has immediately fired a warning to the rest of the Old Trafford club's title rivals. In the defender's absence through a back injury, the Red Devils have replaced a faltering Liverpool side at the top of the table. "We have got to the top of the league. We need to consolidate on that now and try to keep the momentum going to get more points on the board," he said. "If we continue to do that in the manner of the last few games, we have got a great chance of picking up some silverware." Speaking about United's experience of being involved in title run-ins, he added: "Maybe that is the edge we have got on the other teams. "It is not everything because you need that momentum, but we love playing in big pressure games."
