Ribery linked to United switch

Franck Ribery will join Manchester United should they decide to cash in on Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Bayern Munich winger's agent.

Ribery, 25, has been linked with moves to Italy, Spain and England following his sensational form for the German champions this season.

But now agent Alain Migliaccio claims he is aware of interest from United boss Sir Alex Ferguson should Ronaldo leave Old Trafford.

The world and European player of the year was expected to join Real Madrid last summer after revealing his interest in playing for the Spanish champions.

However, Ferguson persuaded Ronaldo to stay with the Premier League and European champions.

"If Manchester United sell Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson would like to cover that transfer with Ribery's signature," Migliaccio told Bild.
