Real still eye Ronaldo
Florentino Perez says Real Madrid are still interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo despite the capture of Kaka from AC Milan. The Liga giants have held a long-term interest in the Portugal international, although their funds have been depleted somewhat after splashing out €68million (£59million) on superstar Kaka. Perez has a track record of attracting world class talent to after bringing the likes of Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Michael Owen and Robinho to the club during his first stint as president. While Perez knows Real will not be able to sign all of their targets, he has acknowledged the club will need to hold transfer talks with Manchester United before being able to speak with Ronaldo. "We're always thinking about great players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic are among other great players around the world," Perez said on Sky Sports News. "We all know that these are players that we would like, but they all can't come. "Ronaldo is a great player who we'd like to bring to the club, but first we have to speak to Manchester United because the important thing is for us to maintain a good rapport with everyone."
