Queiroz eyes double boost
19 Jan 2008 - 11:42:15
Manchester United's assistant manager Carlos Queiroz is looking forward to the Red Devils squad being boosted by the return from injury of both Paul Scholes and Louis Saha.
Scholes is poised to return to training after recovering well from knee surgery, while Saha should also shrug off a knee problem to be back in the fold in the next few weeks.
Queiroz revealed: "When Paul plays you can see the lights go on.
"He sees things more easily than other players. When he doesn't play it is as if the game is in darkness. His vision, the way he moves the ball, he is an unbelievable player.
"You cannot replace the experience of someone like him who has been here ten years. Maybe he can play in the FA Cup (against Spurs). It is a possibility he could be on the bench."
Of France striker Saha, the Portuguese added: "We are not pleased with Louis' injury and he is not happy either.
"But we know he is a great player and what he can deliver. We trust him. Louis has had some injuries, but he remains one of our best players."
