Parma target Rossi loan

Serie A strugglers Parma claim to have agreed a deal to sign Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has only just returned to Old Trafford after a mixed loan stint with Newcastle United and seems poised to return to his former club to gain further first-team action.
Rossi joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2004 from Parma, but has struggled to make his mark, scoring four times in a mere 14 first-team outings.
Parma director Roberto Cappelli confirmed: "We were very interested in Atalanta's Nicola Ventola, but the transfer market is tough at the moment.
"Our sporting director, Gabriele Zamagna, made a quick trip to Manchester to bring back Rossi on loan.
"If everything goes well, then he should be in Parma on Thursday and the transfer will go through in time for him to play against Torino this weekend."
