Park: Gunners lack experience
Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung has raised further question marks about Arsenal's ability to sustain a title challenge by claiming it will be March before a proper assessment of the Gunners can be made.
Park's close friend Patrice Evra has ruffled a few feathers ahead of Monday night's meeting of the top two at Old Trafford by questioning whether there is any substance to Arsenal's unquestioned flair. Arsene Wenger responded by claiming Evra was showing a lack of respect to his young side.
And Park feels question marks will remain until the Gunners prove they can cope and he said: "Arsenal have shown they are a good side. They have a lot of young players but they have played very well this season and they do have more experience than last season. But we have a lot of it and that is one of the most important things in the title race."
He added: "Arsenal are doing well now but maybe in March, when the pressure comes on and the games begin at the end of the season, you will end up with different results."
Wenger's side could certainly benefit from breaking a cycle of negative results against United.
A run of five games without a win in head-to-head meetings includes four defeats - admittedly a very unlucky one at Old Trafford last season - with the only draw coming at the end of the 2009 campaign which was all United required to complete their 18th league championship triumph.
And while he respects the Gunners' form, particularly on their travels, Park is confident the run will continue.
"Our good performances against Arsenal will continue," he said. "It is good to have that winning mood. We have produced some good performances recently, against Blackburn and Valencia.
"We can do that against Arsenal as well."
