Veteran midfielder Paul Scholes believes Manchester United are capable of beating FC Porto and clinching a place in the last four of the Champions League. United were held to a 2-2 draw by the Portuguese League leaders at Old Trafford last week in the first leg, but Scholes insists Sir Alex Ferguson's team can secure victory in the Estadio Do Dragao stadium. He told the Manchester Evening News: "It's a big game for us and there's no doubt it's going to be difficult. "But all we have to do is win a game and, with the players we've got, I'm sure we're capable of doing that. "Winning last Saturday boosted our confidence and, going into a big game like Porto, we needed that win. It was a big victory for us at Sunderland. "We didn't play too great but the win is what matters." Rio Ferdinand, who has been struggling with a back injury recently, has travelled with the rest of the squad to Portugal.
