New deal for Evans

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has signed a new four-year contract at Old Trafford. The Northern Ireland international has become firmly established as United's first-choice back-up to centre-halves Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic and is viewed as a potential captain of the future. Jonny has signed a new deal, confirmed Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of Sunday's seasonal finale against Stoke. We have been working on it for a few months now and I am happy that he has signed it.
