Manchester United winger Nani is hoping to benefit from Cristiano Ronaldo's proposed transfer to Real Madrid.
Nani, 22, recently suggested he was unsettled at Old Trafford following a lack of first-team action last season.
The Portugal international started just seven Premier League games last term and admitted that he was unhappy on the sidelines.
But following the news that compatriot Ronaldo is set to join Real in a world record £80million transfer, Nani believes he could be the one to benefit.
"Ronaldo was a very important player for us but now my opportunity has come," he told Portuguese media. "The time has come (for United) to put their trust in me."
Meanwhile, Nani has wished his departing team-mate well in Spain, adding: "He deserves everything that has happened to him considering what he has accomplished in recent years.
"Real Madrid is a great club and I wish him luck."
