Nani defiant despite snub

Nani has admitted his unhappiness at being substituted at half-time against Tottenham but insists he will stay and fight for his Manchester United place. The Red Devils winger was replaced by Carlos Tevez as the champions trailed Spurs 2-0 at the interval at Old Trafford on Saturday. But just as the Premier League title race looked to be taking another twist United secured the points with five second-half goals. The Portuguese ace has had a frustrating time in his second season at the Theatre of Dreams but despite this latest setback, he still hopes he can secure a regular place in the starting XI. "I was not satisfied about my role against Tottenham but I accept the orders of the coach with the substitution at half-time," he said. Not responsible"The team changed in many ways during the second-half but I wasn't responsible for the first 45 minutes. "I finished the match unhappy though I am still waiting to demonstrate what I can do. "I signed a deal with this club and my dream is to obtain a permanent place in the first XI." Meanwhile, the club have confirmed they will play Chinese side Hangzhou Greentown in the final game of their four match pre-season tour, which will include countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea.
