The 29-year-old midfielder has found his form after a slow start to the season and plans are in place to discuss updating his current deal, which has 18 months to run. United will decide which of the players nearing the end of their deals that they want to keep. Brazilian Anderson has already signed a new long-term contract, while the club are trying to persuade Patrice Evra to stay despite interest from Real Madrid. Of those out of contract this summer, offers will be on the table for Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes but Edwin van der Sar, Owen Hargreaves, Wes Brown, Michael Owen and Gary Neville will be allowed to leave.  Manchester United 5 Birmingham 0: Dimitar Berbatov hits another hat-trick in Reds routSign me up, Fergie!
