Manucho out to make his mark

Published: 06 Mar 2009 - 09:38:18

Manucho is hoping to take his opportunity on loan at Hull City to boost his prospects at Manchester United. The Angolan striker joined United in January last year before being sent on loan to Panathinaikos while he awaited a work permit. He made three substitute appearances for United in the first half of the season before moving to the KC Stadium on loan during the winter transfer window. The 25-year-old has largely been restricted to a substitute's role with the Tigers, but came off the bench to score a crucial late winner at Fulham in midweek. Manucho is now aiming to score more goals to boost City's survival hopes and is then keen to make his mark at Old Trafford. "I just want to do the best I can for Hull and see what happens after that," said Manucho in the Daily Mirror. "If I can score some more goals it will be good for everyone. The plan is to go back and take it from there. "If I can make the most of this chance at Hull, then who knows?"
