Manucho improved at United

Manucho believes he improved as a player during his time at Manchester United despite his lack of first-team football. The 26-year-old has switched to Spain this summer to join Real Valladolid after making just three substitute appearances since signing for the Red Devils in January 2008. The Angola international was a surprise acquisition with the striker largely unknown in Europe and was subsequently loaned out to Panathinaikos and Hull City during his 18 months at Old Trafford. Manucho netted just twice for the Tigers in 17 appearances last term but he is confident he can score goals in what he describes as the most technical league in the world. "I am delighted to join Valladolid, it is not the big club like Manchester United but it is a very good club," he said. "It is an honour to play in the most technical league in the world, people will say I did not do well at Manchester, but for me I learned a lot with very great players. "It was not easy to get in the first-team of the best team in the world but what was easy was to learn with them. "My ambition is to make a name for myself here, score plenty of goals because I can score goals in this league and I will have to score plenty like my hero Samuel Eto'o."
