Manchester United line up Kaka and Ribery to replace Real-bound Ronaldo
Published: 19 Apr 2009 - 12:46:12
Manchester United are set to splash a world record £70million to bring AC Milan's Kaka to Old Trafford to replace the departing Cristiano Ronaldo. The 24-year-old Portuguese will demand a move to Real Madrid in the summer, and the Brazilian superstar is being lined up by Sir Alex ferguson to replace the current world player of the year. Also wanted is Bayern Munich's French midfielder Franck Ribery, with Wigan winger Antonio Valencia completing a trio of summer signings, report the News of the World. While Ronaldo's desire to join Real is one of the worst kept secrets in football, Kaka has recently rejected a deal with the Rossoneri. With current boss Carlo Ancelotti expected to join Chelsea in the summer, the club lie third in Serie A, some 13 points off first-placed Inter Milan.
