Manchester United lead Everton in chase for Norwegian defender Hovland

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson Manchester United are considering offering a deal to 20-year-old Norwegian defender Even Hovland although Everton are also interested. WIGAN defender Erik Edman has joined Swedish side Helsingborg on a free transfer. The left back has agreed a five-year deal with his former club. ASTON VILLA are to hold talks over a new contract with James Milner in the summer. FULHAM defender John Pantsil fears he will miss the rest of the season through injury.
