Manchester United have not bid for Sergio Aguero say Atletico Madrid

Reports in the Mirror claimed United had made an offer worth £30million plus Portuguese winger Nani to acquire the Argentina international. But the 21-year-old is under contract with the Primera Liga outfit until June 2012 and has a 55 million euro buy-out clause. "Manchester United has not made any offers for 'Kun' [Aguero] - and we will not sell any player," Cerezo told Marca. "We will not sell Aguero, Forlan, Simao - because we don't want to sell any of our players. "We will keep all of our players because we are very good as we are and we have a great team." Whether United were interested in the Argentina international or not, news that he is not for sale eliminates another striker option for Sir Alex Ferguson, who has a goalscoring void to fill at Old Trafford following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez. United lost out on signing Karim Benzema a fortnight ago and despite the arrival of Michael Owen, the club continues to be linked with a host of big name forwards. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are the two most recent names supposedly on Ferguson's radar. Meanwhile, United are on the verge of completing the sale of England U21 forward Frazier Campbell to Sunderland. The £5.5 million deal will be Steve Bruce's first signing as the club's new manager provided the 21-year-old completes a medical and can agree personal terms. Campbell made just four senior appearances for United despite having been on their books since he was a schoolboy. He spent the 2007/09 season on loan at Hull, who were also trying to secure his signature permanently but failed, where he scored 15 goals in 37 appearances. Last season saw him lent out to Tottenham as a makeweight in the deal that saw Berbatov head in the opposite direction.
