Manchester United made light of their chronic injury list to overcome a subdued Stoke outfit at Old Trafford and draw level on points with rivals Manchester City, turning the heat up in the Barclays Premier League title race. A penalty in each half, from Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov, was enough to turn the game into a victory cruise for Sir Alex Ferguson's team. Much stiffer challenges lay ahead in the form of their next two opponents, Chelsea and Liverpool.
