Man United keeper Van der Sar set for first team return after wife's collapse

Strong: Edwin van der Sar and his wife Annemarie Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is set to return to first-team action after his wife's successful progress following a brain haemorrhage. Annemarie van Kesteren was left seriously ill when she collapsed at the family's home in Holland before Christmas. Van der Sar had been put on indefinite leave following his wife'scollapse and it is understood that she has made a good recovery with nolong term effects. The 39-year-old has been back in Hollandfor the festive season and also received treatment on a knee injurythat has kept him out since November. But the Holland keeper is expected to make his return to United's Carrington training ground this week.
