Man United and Wigan track Athletico's 14million-rated goalkeeper De Gea

Manchester United and Wigan are tracking Atletico Madrid's teenage goalkeeeper David de Gea. Atletico currently have two of the best young goalkeepers in the La Liga in Sergio Asenjo and De Gea. Asenjo was signed last summer from Real Valladolid in a £7.5 million deal. Coach Quique Flores has favoured Asenjo but last week gave De Gea his second league outing of the sesason and the 19-year-old impressed. Hot property: David de Dea is a target for Manchester United and Wigan De Gea's agent, Hector Rincon, said there is 'interest from some English clubs' but Atletico are keen to secure De Gea on a long-term contract. Rincon said: 'Some Premier League clubs have been asking for De Gea, like United and especially Wigan who made an offer Atletico rejected. 'Roberto Martinez believes that De Gea is ready for the Premier League but Atletico insist he wants to stay at the Calderon. United are also interested. I spoke to Alex Ferguson and their interest was confirmed by an intermediary.' Rincon warned United and Wigan to move fast.
