Louvel left in the lurch

Le Havre chairman Jean-Pierre Louvel has blasted Manchester United over their acquisition of Paul Pogba. The Red Devils secured a deal for the talented teenager over the weekend, bringing the 16-year-old into their academy structure. The move has infuriated Le Havre, though, with the French outfit insisting they did all they could to keep the youngster in his homeland. They will be offered compensation after nurturing Pogba to this stage of his career, but the fee involved will be significantly less than that he could be worth in a few years time. The whole episode has left Louvel fuming and he admits Le Havre are considering what action, if any, they can take against United regarding the manner in which they have gone about their business. "I am fed up with clubs taking liberties," he told France Football. "Arsenal were also on the player's trail, but they, out of politeness, stopped everything when they understood that we didn't want to sell. United didn't show such politeness. "In the best case scenario we will only get some €110,000 to €120,000. That is nothing considering the high hopes we had for the player. "We will now assess what our rights are and plan what to do next."
