Larsson linked with return

Former Manchester United loanee Henrik Larsson has been linked with a surprise return to England with three Premier League clubs reported to be interested in signing him.

Larsson, 36, spent the second half of the 2006/07 season on loan at Old Trafford and took the plaudits after scoring three times in 13 appearances for the Red Devils.

United are not believed be in the running to re-sign the veteran Sweden international.

Larsson's former manager at Celtic, Martin O'Neill, is also reported to have no interest in bringing the striker to his current club Aston Villa.

However, reports in Sweden suggest Larsson could move to England when his contract with current club Helsingborg expires in November.

Three unnamed clubs are claimed to have approached Helsingborg, who are believed to want a nominal fee for the evergreen striker.

"If there is an enquiry or a bid, we will look at it," said club spokesman Sten-Inge Fredin.

"It does not matter that it is Henrik Larsson."
